Born and raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago, IL, Michael Keys grew up listening to the styles of old and modern Country Music. He was introduced to it from his Father who would drive around with their local country radio station on and Michael would sing along to the radio. Coming from a non-musical background, Michael kept his talent hidden from anyone outside of the comfort of his home until one day he grew the courage to perform at his High School’s Talent Show. Not only did Michael managed to compete with other talented individuals, but he actually took first place of the competition. It was at that moment that Michael knew, he needed to treat music more than just a hobby.
Michael has come a long way since playing in his school’s talent show. Performing for almost a decade, he's been a part of some of the most popular cover bands in the Chicagoland area travelling all over the Midwest.
Michael only started getting into songwriting a couple years ago and he was recognized for his talents by becoming iHeartMedia Radio Station BIG 95.5 FM Chicago's Big Break Artist. After accomplishing so much in the Midwest, Michael moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his music career further by writing more songs and performing as much as he can. He has grown to be not just another Singer/Songwriter, but to be a one of a kind entertainer. There is only one thing that Michael loves to do and that is to give the audience a show they will never forget.
